For Excavators
Rotor Diameter 400mm / 16″
Working Depth 200mm / 8″
Used with excavators, the MeriCrusher MC4 hydraulic shows its versatility by crushing forest residue, clearing land for site development, maintaining gravel roads, crushing ice and removing stumps and roots to a maximum working depth of 8″ (200mm). The modular bolted design allows for easy attachment of accessories and allows for future upgrades.
Typical working environments
The MC4 series MeriCrusher with direct drive hydraulics is designed for versatile mulching work. The hydraulic motor is direclty connected to the rotor, which makes the construction simple and keeps the weight low. The MC4 is ideal for 10-25 metric ton excavators. Working in conditions where light weight and durability are paramount, the MeriCrusher MC4 hydraulic gives excellent crushing results from the STD and STE rotor, which is equipped with cost effective carbide cutters. A combinatation of the rotors high torque and low weight ensures a minimal recovery time. Thanks to a low cuting speed, working near buildings and traffic is safe and harmless compared to high-speed mulchers. The direct drive motor enables the rotating of the rotor in both directions.
The rotator allows the operator to place the mulcher in the desired working position. The safe and versatile positioning reduces carrier movement and makes it more efficient. Using the rotator allows work to be accomplished while swinging the boom or moving the boom normally. Work is possible in narrow and confined environments where the use of a fixed mounted crusher would be impossible or much more difficult.
PTO-driven mulcher and forestry tiller for versatile crushing, the MeriCrusher MJ is your first choice. Light, strong construction makes the MJ series ideal for a wide power range of tractors, to 150 hp. Working in conditions where light weight and durability are paramount, the MeriCrusher MJ gives excellent crushing results. Power is transmitted to the rotor through single or dual double chain drives and always protected by an over load clutch, of either friction disc, or patented POC (pressure operated safety clutch) type, designed by Suokone.
